NIA Attaches Two Properties over LeT Funding in Heroin Case

NIA Attaches Two Properties over LeT Funding in Heroin Case

A special investigation agency in India, called the NIA, is looking into a big case about illegal drugs.

Someone tried to bring a huge amount of heroin — 500 kilograms — into India from Pakistan by sea.

The NIA believes the drug money may have helped fund a group called LeT, which is linked to bad activities.

Because of this, the NIA took away two pieces of land from a person named Masih.

This is called an 'attachment', and it means Masih can no longer use or sell the property.

The NIA did this using a special law called UAPA, which helps fight terrorism.

The two plots are in a neighbourhood called Akash Vihar, in the city of Amritsar.

The case is known as the Salaya drug seizure case.

The NIA is still investigating who was involved.
