Calcutta HC Orders CBI Probe in 2010 TMC Worker Killing
A long time ago, in 2010, a man named Rabin Ghosh, who worked for a political party, was allegedly shot and killed by a police officer in a place called Jangipara in West Bengal.
The family of Rabin Ghosh wanted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to look into the case because they were not happy with how the local police were investigating it.
After many years, a court finally agreed and ordered the CBI to investigate the case to find out what really happened.
The Calcutta High Court has ordered a CBI probe into the 2010 killing of TMC worker Rabin Ghosh.
Ghosh was allegedly shot dead by Tapasbrati Chakraborty, the then Officer-in-Charge of Jangipara Police Station.
The family of Rabin Ghosh had been seeking a CBI probe for 12 years.
