NMMC Calls Urgent Meeting Over Navi Mumbai Water Shortages
People in parts of Navi Mumbai have raised concerns about water shortages and weak water pressure.
MLA Manda Mhatre asked the city’s civic corporation to address the complaints.
She also alleged that some developers may be taking water without authorisation.
The corporation’s commissioner has called a meeting with senior officials in the coming days.
They will review water distribution and consider how to provide fairer supply across the city.
Officials will also discuss alleged misuse in MIDC areas.
Mhatre wants tanker supplies monitored so residents are not unfairly charged during shortages.
The corporation has not announced the meeting’s outcomes.
