Kakinada Police Raid Shyam Institute After Student Protest

Kakinada Police Raid Shyam Institute After Student Protest

Unemployed young people held a protest on Monday in Kakinada.

They wanted more jobs to be included in a Mega Police Notification.

Police suspected that people at Shyam Institute may have encouraged the protest.

On Tuesday, police searched the institute and hostel.

Officers asked about the people who joined the rally and whether they participated voluntarily.

The institute chairman said the institute was not involved.

He also said students became frightened when about 10 police officers arrived without prior notice.

Police later registered cases against the chairman and 20 others.
