Nepal Flood Death Toll Reaches 788 as Pilgrims Evacuated

Heavy floods and landslides have caused a major disaster in Nepal and near the Tibet border.

The Andhra Pradesh government says 788 people have died.

Thousands more people are still missing or cannot be contacted.

Twenty Telugu pilgrims reached Kathmandu safely after crossing from Tibet.

However, 14 pilgrims linked to Andhra Pradesh are still untraceable.

Rescue teams have evacuated more than 8,700 people.

Many roads and suspension bridges were destroyed, making travel difficult.

Security personnel, helicopters, doctors, and Indian tunnel experts are helping with the rescue.

Officials are also watching a temporary lake in Tibet because it could create another danger.
