India’s Space Economy Projected to Reach $40–45 Billion

India’s space industry is becoming much bigger.

It is now worth about $9 billion and could grow to $40–45 billion in the next ten years.

Many new private companies are joining the space sector.

The number of space startups grew from one in 2014 to about 440 by August 2026.

Private investment also increased greatly.

New rules allow companies to work on satellites, rockets and other space services.

The government has created funds to help these companies grow.

India has also completed launches carrying satellites for both Indian and international customers.
