Odisha Announces ₹75.6 Crore Rehabilitation Package for Displaced Nolias

Odisha Announces ₹75.6 Crore Rehabilitation Package for Displaced Nolias

Odisha’s government announced money and housing help for families who lost their homes in 1984.

These families live in Golabandha in Ganjam district and are known as Nolias.

They were moved because land was needed to build the Army Air Defence College.

There are 1,371 eligible families in the special package.

Each family will receive ₹5 lakh to help them become financially secure.

The government will also finish some unfinished homes and build new ones.

More money will improve roads and other facilities in their new colony.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said earlier governments had ignored the families.

He also gave land documents to some families displaced by another irrigation project.
