Rajasthan High Court Extends Tax Audit Deadline to October 31
The Rajasthan High Court has ordered the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to push back the deadline for filing tax audit reports to October 31.
This decision came after concerns were raised about the short amount of time left to complete audits by the original deadline of September 30.
The court responded to a petition by the Jodhpur Tax Bar Association, who stated that it was impossible for many businesses to finish their audits in time.
Another hearing will be held on October 27.
