TREESCAPES 2026 Congress on Agroforestry in New Delhi
TREESCAPES 2026 is a big meeting about trees and farming in South Asia.
It will happen in New Delhi from February 5th to 7th, 2026.
Important people from different countries will talk about how trees can help the environment and make farmers' lives better.
They will discuss ways to use trees in farming to fight climate change, make more money for farmers, and protect the land.
The meeting is organized by groups that study trees and farming, and many other important organizations are helping.
They want to make sure trees are used in the best way possible to help people and the planet.
TREESCAPES 2026 is the first South Asian Congress focused on agroforestry and Trees Outside Forests, scheduled for February 5th-7th, 2026, in New Delhi.
The event aims to mainstream agroforestry and TOF systems for climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and economic growth in South Asia.
Key dignitaries from India, Nepal, Maldives, and Haryana will attend the congress.
The congress will address policy, regulatory, and institutional gaps related to agroforestry and TOF, and discuss scaling these systems using digital tools and farmer-led innovation.
Agroforestry has been shown to sequester significant amounts of carbon dioxide, reduce deforestation, and improve farmer incomes, making it a critical response to land degradation and climate change.
