KB Kookmin Bank Breach Raises Fears After Shinhan Leak

KB Kookmin Bank said hackers stole information from more than 100 customers.

The information included names, phone numbers and encrypted identification details.

The bank said it would pay for any damage caused by the leak.

This happened soon after Shinhan Bank reported a much larger leak involving about 25,000 customers.

Shinhan said names, phone numbers, annual incomes and loan information were exposed.

The hackers are suspected of being based outside the country.

Experts think AI tools may have helped attackers find weaknesses in online systems.

They are urging banks to check their security and stop unusual access attempts.
