Delhi Groundwater Contaminated with Uranium

A recent report by the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) found that 13 to 15 percent of the groundwater samples collected in Delhi have uranium levels that are higher than what is safe to drink.

The report looked at samples from 86 locations in Delhi and found that 24 of the 83 samples had too much uranium.

This means that the water in some parts of Delhi might not be safe to drink.

The report also said that the northwestern part of India, including Delhi, has higher levels of uranium in the groundwater.

This is because of natural reasons, and the way the groundwater is being used.

The report suggests that regular checks and local solutions are needed to keep the water safe.

Some people are asking the Delhi Jal Board to share the latest water quality reports so that everyone knows what is in their drinking water.
