Calcutta HC Orders Report on Murshidabad Violence Fund
Imagine there was a fight in a place called Murshidabad, and some people's homes got damaged.
The government gave money to help these people.
Now, a judge is asking for a report to see if the money was given out fairly and if it was enough to rebuild the homes.
The judge thinks the money might not be enough, because Rs 1.2 lakh might not be enough to build a house.
The court wants to make sure everyone who was hurt gets help.
They are also checking if the money given matches how much damage there was.
The next time they'll talk about this is on November 20.
Calcutta High Court ordered a report on fund disbursal for victims of Samsherganj violence.
The District Magistrate of Murshidabad must file the report.
The court questioned the adequacy of Rs 1.2 lakh for rebuilding homes.
283 families had been identified and received Rs 1.2 lakh each.
