Senate Committee Backs $1 Billion for Ukraine in Pentagon Spending
A U.S. Senate committee has decided to include about $1 billion to help Ukraine in a new military spending plan.
This is despite the former president’s request to eliminate this funding.
The money is for things like equipment to help Ukraine fight against Russia.
Many in the Senate support this, and they see it as important.
The House of Representatives didn't include this aid in their version of the bill.
Now, the Senate will vote, and then they'll work with the House to decide what to do.
