Naidu unveils plan to make Amaravati global deep-tech hub

Andhra Pradesh wants Amaravati to become a place where people build advanced technology.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced five small quantum-computing systems called Q-Shiva.

The state says quantum operations are expected to start in February next year.

A larger 156-qubit system is being set up with IBM, TCS and L&T.

A new council will connect IITs, universities, businesses and start-ups.

A Rs 500-crore fund will help support new technology businesses.

The plans also cover areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, space and defence.

The state hopes these efforts will create more research, jobs and high-value manufacturing.
