Puri Jagannath Temple Inventory to Start Early 2025

Puri Jagannath Temple Inventory to Start Early 2025

The Puri Jagannath Temple in India has a special treasure room called the Ratna Bhandar.

This room has lots of valuable things like ornaments.

The last time they counted everything was in 1978.

Now, a committee led by Justice Biswanath Rath is planning to count everything again.

They will start early next year, maybe in January.

They will use electric lights this time, which should make the counting easier and faster.

The temple officials will make sure the counting does not disturb the daily rituals.

They will also make a plan for how to handle and document the valuables.

The committee will meet on December 27 to discuss this plan.

The last time the counting took 72 days, but they hope to finish it faster this time.
