Justice Shah Sworn in as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan
The most senior judge in Pakistan's Supreme Court, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, has temporarily become the Acting Chief Justice.
This is because the actual Chief Justice, Yahya Afridi, is away.
The special thing is that the swearing-in happened on a public holiday, Eid, and it wasn't in the usual place, Islamabad; it was in Lahore.
This is a bit unusual because important events like this usually don't happen on holidays or outside the capital.
Justice Shah will be in charge until June 10th, when Chief Justice Afridi returns.
Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah took oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan.
The oath-taking ceremony was held on Eid, a public holiday.
The ceremony took place at the Lahore Registry instead of Islamabad.
Justice Ayesha A Malik administered the oath.
Justice Shah will serve until June 10, while the Chief Justice is in Saudi Arabia.
