Biome Founders Withdraw Delhi HC Plea, Opt for Arbitration in Share Dispute with Fabindia
The founders of Biome Life Sciences, which runs Fabindia's personal care line, decided to take their share valuation dispute with Fabindia to arbitration instead of the Delhi high court.
They had initially sued Fabindia for not honoring a put option in their shareholder agreement.
Fabindia denied the allegations, citing operational issues.
Now, a three-member tribunal will decide the matter.
Biome Life Sciences India founders Shantanu Jain and Sania Arora Jain withdrew their Delhi high court petition against Fabindia Ltd.
The withdrawal comes after a three-member arbitral tribunal was constituted to hear the matter involving the enforcement of an exit clause.
The founders had sued Fabindia alleging breach of shareholder agreement over a put option for selling their shares.
Fabindia rejected the founders' claim, citing operational lapses and negligence by the founders.
Biome Life Sciences houses Fabindia's personal care line, FabEssentials.
