Ex-Diplomat Warns Pakistan Is Imploding Amid Water, Balochistan Crises

Rajiv Dogra, a former Indian diplomat, spoke about Pakistan’s political and security problems.

He said British officials likely knew that Mohammed Ali Jinnah was very ill before India was divided in 1947.

Dogra believes the Indus Waters Treaty has harmed India’s water interests.

He wants India to explain its position internationally and consider ending the treaty.

He described Karachi in the early 1990s as a place with frequent fighting between different groups.

He also recalled seeing explosives at a Karachi gathering three days after the 1993 Bombay blasts.

Dogra said he was later told that a man at the gathering was Tiger Memon.

He believes Pakistan’s government controls only parts of Balochistan, especially urban areas.

He also said Pakistan and the United States continue to deal with each other mainly according to their immediate interests.
