Bandhan Small Cap Fund Leads 5-Year SIP Return Rankings
When people save money, they can invest it little by little every month, and this is called a SIP.
Mutual funds are helpers that collect everyone's money and invest it together, and small-cap funds put money into smaller companies.
Small companies can grow very quickly, but their value can also drop suddenly.
This story looks at people who saved ₹10,000 every month for five years, adding up to ₹6 lakh.
By the end, every fund in the study had grown the money to at least ₹8.13 lakh.
The best fund, called Bandhan Small Cap Fund, turned the ₹6 lakh into over ₹10.35 lakh.
That means investors earned more than ₹4 lakh in extra money with that fund.
Other funds grew less, but none of them lost money.
Choosing the right fund made a very big difference over five years.
A monthly SIP of ₹10,000 in small-cap funds from 9 August 2021 to 7 August 2026 totalled ₹6 lakh in investment.
Bandhan Small Cap Fund was the top performer, growing the ₹6 lakh to ₹10.35 lakh at an XIRR of 22.02%.
ITI Small Cap Fund and Invesco India Smallcap Fund also crossed the ₹10 lakh final-value mark.
Tata Small Cap Fund had the lowest final value at ₹8.13 lakh, still generating a 12.12% XIRR.
The wealth gap between the best- and worst-performing small-cap funds was about ₹2.23 lakh on the same ₹6 lakh investment.
