Indian Stock Markets Fall Amid Global Concerns

On Monday, the Indian stock market opened lower.

The Sensex fell by 348 points to 83,228, and the Nifty dropped by 101 points to 25,582.

Many big companies like Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, and Bharti Airtel lost a lot of money.

This happened because people are worried about problems between the US and other countries.

Some companies like ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever actually gained money.

The market is also worried about oil prices because of protests in Iran and possible actions by the US.

The India VIX, which shows how much the market might change, went up by 8%.

Broader markets saw bigger drops, with midcap and smallcap indices falling by 1% and 1.5% respectively.

Sectoral indices like Nifty Realty, Pharma, Auto, IT, and Bank also declined.
