Karnataka IAS Officer Arrested in Veterinary Recruitment Fraud Case

Police in Karnataka arrested IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar.

They say the arrest is connected to an alleged problem in choosing veterinarians for 400 government jobs.

The jobs were in the state Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department.

Gangwar was questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department for two days.

Police are looking at his earlier work as controller of examinations at the Karnataka Public Service Commission.

He held that position from 2024 to March 2026.
