Fujifilm Bets on Young Consumers’ Renewed Love of Cameras

Fujifilm Bets on Young Consumers’ Renewed Love of Cameras

Some young people are becoming interested in cameras that feel different from smartphones.

Fujifilm says Generation Z users enjoy QuickSnap film cameras because they must wait to see their pictures.

QuickSnap cameras use film and are designed for one-time use.

Instax cameras print pictures almost immediately, giving them a retro look.

Some Instax models can also connect audio or short videos to printed photos using QR codes.

Young consumers are also showing interest in small digital cameras with manual controls and classic designs.

Fujifilm believes these products can attract Indian smartphone users.

The company wants to increase its share of India’s camera market by 2030.

It is monitoring supply problems caused by a global memory shortage but has not yet announced related price increases in India.
