North and South Bengal Train Services May Resume After Repairs

North and South Bengal Train Services May Resume After Repairs

Heavy rain caused the ground under railway tracks near New Farakka to sink.

This disrupted trains between north and south Bengal.

Railway workers repaired and strengthened the damaged area with sandbags.

They also tested the repaired track with a trial train.

Officials still need to complete safety and signalling checks.

Passenger trains may be allowed to use the route soon.

Several trains were cancelled or sent along different routes.

Some services have already started running again.
