Bengal BJP Chief Calls Voter Roll Revision Incomplete
Samik Bhattacharya, the leader of the BJP in West Bengal, says the work to check the voter list is not finished.
He wants officials to do another round and remove names of people who should not be on the list.
He also said some workers helping with the process were attacked or harassed.
Bhattacharya discussed a voter-registration form called Form 6 and the Supreme Court’s request for records about changes to it.
He said the BJP would keep its own identity even as people join from the Trinamool Congress.
He also said young people want India to become more prosperous and developed.
BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya said Bengal’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls remains incomplete.
He demanded another round of the exercise to remove ineligible names from the voter list.
