Rohit Sharma Recounts Iconic T20 World Cup Walk

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, recently talked about his special walk to collect the T20 World Cup trophy in 2024.

This was a big moment because India won the tournament without losing any matches.

The team is now preparing to defend their title in the 2026 T20 World Cup, which starts in less than a month.

Their first match will be against the USA at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the same place where India won the ODI World Cup in 2011.

Rohit Sharma is only the second Indian captain after MS Dhoni to win a T20 World Cup.

The team has been working hard since 2013 to win an ICC trophy, and this victory was a huge relief and celebration for them and the country.

Former South Africa captain Graeme Smith believes India will be among the frontrunners for the title in the 2026 T20 World Cup due to their depth of talent, but also notes the uncertainty due to the transition phase in Indian cricket with senior players like Gautam Gambhir.
