Dhanush Postpones OM to Avoid Rajinikanth and Suriya Clashes
Dhanush’s movie OM: Chapter 1 was supposed to come to theaters on October 16.
Rajinikanth’s movie Jailer 2 is planned for the day before, on October 15.
Dhanush decided not to release his movie so close to Rajinikanth’s film.
He said this was a way to show respect for Rajinikanth.
OM: Chapter 1 will not use the Diwali release period either.
Suriya’s movie Scene was already announced for November 6.
Dhanush said big movies should respect one another’s release plans.
A new release date for OM: Chapter 1 will be announced soon.
Dhanush postponed OM: Chapter 1 from its October 16 release date to avoid opening alongside Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 on October 15.
Dhanush said the decision reflected respect for Rajinikanth and a desire to prevent competition between major Tamil films.

Dhanush said big films should show mutual understanding and consider the wider welfare of the film industry.
