IYC Demands Shah Resign Over July 20 Police Action
The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) held a protest on July 31, 2024, at Delhi University and Jantar Mantar.
They said the police used pellet guns and other harsh weapons during a student march on July 20.
The IYC wants the Home Minister, Amit Shah, to quit and wants a court‑led investigation.
They also say a court told the police not to take action against students, but an FIR was filed against a student named Ruchika Singh.
