Centrum Sees Renewable Stocks Benefiting From Rising Power Demand
Centrum, a brokerage, shared its expectations for four renewable-energy companies in the September quarter.
It gave each company a share-price target.
Suzlon is expected to deliver more wind turbines.
Waaree Energies is expected to make more solar panels and cells.
ACME Solar is expected to benefit from battery storage, though fewer sunny days may hurt its quarter.
NTPC Green is expected to add more renewable power capacity.
Centrum says growing demand for electricity could support these businesses.
It also expects some costs, seasonal conditions, and changes in what companies sell to affect their margins.
Centrum set target prices of Rs 74 for Suzlon, Rs 3,876 for Waaree Energies, Rs 458 for ACME Solar and Rs 124 for NTPC Green.
Suzlon is forecast to deliver 630MW of wind turbines in Q2FY27, with revenue expected to rise 17.9% quarter-on-quarter and 16.6% year-on-year.
Waaree Energies is expected to produce 4.0GW of modules and 1.1GW of cells, while its EBITDA margin is forecast to ease to 18.0%.
ACME Solar’s operational capacity is expected to reach 3,057MW; seasonal weakness and a greater BESS revenue mix are expected to weigh on margins.
NTPC Green is expected to add 0.6GW in Q2FY27, taking operational capacity to 11.3GW, with plans to add nearly 7–8GW during FY27.

Growth drivers
Risks and pressures
Quarterly performance
Growth drivers
Centrum expects rising power demand, capacity additions and higher activity to support growth across the companies.
Risks and pressures
Centrum expects seasonal weakness from fewer sunny days to affect ACME Solar, and forecasts margin declines at Suzlon, Waaree Energies and ACME Solar for differing reasons.
Renewable business expansion
Growth drivers
The brokerage sees opportunities from wind and solar demand, storage, integrated manufacturing and companies’ project pipelines.
Risks and pressures
The forecasts also identify pressure from a higher mix of lower-margin EPC or BESS revenue and supply-chain impacts on Waaree’s margin.
