Google Lens to Enhance YouTube Shorts with Visual Search
Imagine you're watching a fun short video on YouTube and see something you like, like a cool outfit.
Now, you can tap a button, circle the item, and Google will show you where to find it or learn more.
It's like having a super search tool right inside the video!
This new feature is called Lens and it's coming to YouTube Shorts.
You can use it to find things like clothes, places, or gadgets.
It's still in testing, so it won't show ads at first.
This is different from other video apps because YouTube is focusing on making videos more useful.
YouTube is also adding other tools for creators to make and edit their Shorts.
Google Lens is coming to YouTube Shorts to enable visual search within the app.
Users can tap a Lens icon, highlight objects, and find visual matches and search results.
The feature is rolling out in beta, starting this week.
During beta, search results from Lens will not include ads.
The feature is not compatible with Shorts featuring shopping links or promotions.
