Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G Review: Big Battery, Bright Display
The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is a phone designed to last a long time between charges.
Its very large battery often lasted into a second day during the review.
The screen is sharp, bright and smooth to look at.
The phone handled everyday activities without noticeable stutters.
It was less impressive with demanding games.
Its 67W charger took a little over an hour and a half to fill the battery in testing.
The software includes useful photo-editing tools, but also some apps the reviewer considered unnecessary.
The review gave the phone four out of five stars and recommended it for people who value battery life and screen quality.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G costs Rs. 36,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and Rs. 39,999 for 256GB.
Its 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen has a 120Hz refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 3,500 nits.
The 9,000mAh battery lasted beyond a day and often into a second day during testing; a bundled 67W adapter took over 90 minutes to charge it fully.
The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 handled everyday tasks smoothly but was less suited to demanding gaming.
The review praised the display, battery life, build and software, while noting bloatware and a camera system that trails the phone’s strongest features.
