Uttarakhand Cabinet Approves Cooperative Policy, Market Controls and Road Plans

Uttarakhand’s Cabinet discussed several important state issues.

Pushkar Singh Dhami told officials to keep essential goods available at fair prices.

Officials must inspect markets and punish hoarding, black marketing and profiteering.

The government also planned repairs for roads damaged or needing work after the monsoon.

It wants road tenders completed early so repairs can start quickly when the rains end.

The Cabinet approved a new cooperative policy to make cooperatives more transparent and professionally managed.

The policy also aims to support technology, young people, jobs and inclusion.

The government approved a corporation to buy medicines and medical equipment more transparently.

It also agreed to create an NCDC branch, develop rules for population surveys and urban land records, and provide phased equal-pay benefits to eligible Upnal personnel.
