AI Boom Creates New Billionaires
The AI boom has made many new billionaires.
These are the people who started small AI companies.
Some of these companies are worth billions of dollars now.
The founders of these companies became very rich very quickly.
Most of them are young and many are men.
Some people think this wealth might not last if the companies don't succeed.
But for now, these new billionaires are part of the big change in technology.
The AI boom has created new billionaires from smaller startups, with many companies valued at billions of dollars.
Founders of Scale AI, Cursor, Figure AI, Perplexity, Harvey, Mercor, Thinking Machines Lab, and Safe Superintelligence are among the new billionaires.
Most of these companies were founded less than three years ago, with rapid wealth accumulation in 2025.
The new billionaires are predominantly young and male, reflecting patterns seen in past tech booms.
The wealth of these new billionaires is largely on paper, and its longevity depends on the success of their startups.
