PayU India Turns Ebitda Positive in September Quarter
PayU India, a company that helps businesses with payments, made a profit in the September quarter.
This is a big deal because last year they were losing money.
They made $3 million in profit, which is called Ebitda.
Their revenue, which is the money they make from selling their services, went up by 21% compared to last year.
A big part of their success is because they started lending money to small businesses, like those on Swiggy and Meesho.
They also started offering more services that make them more money, like tools to prevent fraud.
Their parent company, Prosus, is happy with their growth and sees India as an important part of their business.
PayU India turned Ebitda positive with $3 million profit in Q3, up from a $6 million loss a year ago.
Revenue rose 21% year-on-year to $214 million in Q3, and 20% to $397 million in H1FY26.
Merchant lending arm's assets under management grew from $25 million in April 2024 to $204 million by September 2025.
Payment volumes increased by 55% in H1FY26, driven by UPI payments.
Prosus highlights PayU's role as a 'connector' across its India portfolio, including Swiggy, Meesho, and PharmEasy.
