Calcutta HC Orders WBSSC to Publish SLST 2025 OMR Sheets
The Calcutta High Court has ordered the West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) to publish the OMR sheets of the SLST 2025 exam and a list of 1,806 tainted candidates who are barred from the teachers' recruitment process.
This order came after petitioners, who took the exam, complained that some candidates with questionable backgrounds appeared in the lists of successful candidates.
The court, led by Justice Amrita Sinha, will hear the matter again on December 10.
The petitioners' lawyer, Sudipto Dasgupta, argued that the results for classes 9 and 10 were declared after the results for classes 11 and 12, which raised concerns about the fairness of the process.
The SSC and the state government maintain that they have already provided sufficient transparency and that the recruitment process is being conducted fairly.
The Supreme Court has directed the high court to ensure that none of the tainted candidates are permitted to slip through in the fresh selections.
