Ganja Plants Sprout Accidentally in Public Places Near Aluva
Sometimes, ganja seeds end up in places like parks.
These seeds can grow into plants on their own if they get sunlight and water.
Last week, officials found a ganja plant near a metro station.
This isn't the first time, as similar plants were found nearby the month before.
It usually happens because people who use ganja throw away the seeds.
It's different from when people grow ganja on purpose, which is illegal.
The police recently arrested three people for growing ganja.
Excise team discovered a ganja plant near the Kochi metro pillar 87.
The plant was 63 cm long, and a case was registered under the NDPS Act.
The Excise believes the plants grew accidentally from discarded seeds.
Similar incidents were reported last month and in previous years near Aluva.
Three individuals were arrested for deliberately cultivating ganja plants.
