Rajasthan Collector Forgoes Salary for Poor Enrollment
A district collector in Rajasthan named Arun Kumar Hasija has decided not to take his salary until all the poor people in his district are signed up for important government help programs.
These programs give free food, money for children who lost their parents, and pensions for single women, widows, and old people.

Hasija aims to motivate officials to complete the enrollment process, having already seen 88% of social security pension beneficiaries enrolled in 48 hours.
Previously, Hasija initiated a Farmers' Rights Registration Fortnight to register farmers under the Agri Stack scheme, resulting in 15,373 registrations in 15 days.
Rajasthan faces a significant backlog in enrollments and verifications for government schemes, with around 2,036,000 people not receiving benefits due to incomplete annual verification.
