NAPA Urges Punjab Government to Improve Safety and Protect NRIs

Satnam Singh Chahal of the North American Punjabi Association says people in Punjab should be safer.

He is worried about reports of violence, extortion, drugs and illegal weapons.

He says criminal groups may have helpers who provide money, weapons or information.

Chahal also wants people who live abroad to feel safe when they visit their villages.

He says their complaints about property should be properly investigated and tracked.

He believes drug trafficking and organized crime can be connected.

He also says police need equipment, information and enough staff, while following the law.

He wants the government to take steps to protect people and businesses.
