HC Allows Doctors to Pursue Speciality Before Bond Completion
Imagine doctors who took special training paid for by the state.
They usually have to work for the state for a couple of years after.
Some doctors wanted to do extra-special training before they finished their state work.
The Madras High Court said they could, but they still have to work for the state after they're done with their special training.
The court said this because the state helped pay for their training, and they got good education and experience.
The court also said if the state doesn't give the doctors jobs within four months of finishing the special training, the doctors don't have to work for the state anymore.
Madras High Court ruled in favor of 66 non-service doctors.
