Massacre at Sudan Hospital Amid War
In Sudan, a hospital called Saudi Hospital was attacked during a war.
Many people, including patients and healthcare workers, were killed.
The attackers, called the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), took over the hospital and killed people inside.
This was part of a bigger problem where hospitals and doctors are being targeted in the war.
The attacks started getting worse in April 2024 and have been happening a lot.
The RSF says the hospitals were used by their enemies, but the doctors say they were only treating people.
The attacks are against the rules of war, and people are saying it's a very bad thing that needs to be investigated.
RSF fighters attacked Saudi Hospital in al-Fashir, killing over 460 patients and companions on October 28, 2023.
The attack was part of a systematic campaign to dismantle al-Fashir's healthcare system and drive civilians away.
Since April 2024, there have been at least 130 attacks on healthcare in North Darfur, with the RSF responsible for 71% of them.
Healthcare workers were chased by drones, forced to perform surgeries in hiding, and treated patients in makeshift networks.
International laws of war prohibit targeting civilians and hospitals, and the attacks in al-Fashir are clear violations.
