EPFO Opens 2026 Window to Enrol Missed EPF Workers
Some workers were supposed to receive EPF benefits but were never enrolled.
EPFO has opened a special campaign to fix these missing records.
The campaign covers the period from April 1, 2009, to March 31, 2026.
Employers can use it until October 31, 2026.
A worker must still be alive and working for the employer when the declaration is submitted.
If the worker’s contribution was never taken from their pay, that part can be waived under the campaign.
The employer must still pay its own contribution, interest, charges, and a ₹100 damage amount.
Employers must complete the process online using the UMANG app and EPFO’s employer portal.
EPFO’s Employees’ Enrolment Campaign 2026 covers eligible workers omitted from EPF coverage between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2026.
Employers can submit declarations until October 31, 2026, through the EPFO Employer Portal.
Declared employees must be alive and still working at the establishment when the declaration is made.
The employee’s unpaid EPF share may be waived if it was not deducted earlier, while employers must pay their share, interest, administrative charges, and ₹100 in damages.
Employers must generate UANs through face authentication on the UMANG app and complete the online EEC-2026 challan and declaration process.
