Delhi Crowd Celebrates India’s Historic Badminton World Championships Medal

About 8,000 people watched a big badminton match in Delhi.

India’s Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand played China’s top-ranked pair, Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning.

The Indian team won the first game.

China then won the next two games and took the match.

India did not reach the final.

However, the Indian players had already won a medal by reaching the semifinal.
