Fadnavis and Pawar Announce Friendly Contest

Fadnavis and Pawar Announce Friendly Contest

Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Ajit Pawar, the Deputy Chief Minister, announced that they will have a friendly contest in the upcoming elections for the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal corporations.

This means they will run against each other but in a friendly way.

The elections are scheduled for January 15, 2025.

Fadnavis said this is to stop a third party from winning.

Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar's party, the NCP, said they will contest all seats in Pune independently.

Fadnavis also mocked Prithviraj Chavan's prediction about a Marathi man becoming the Prime Minister due to the Epstein Files release, advising him not to worry about such things.
