PM Internship Scheme: Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh Lead in Pilot
The government launched a program to help young people get internships at big companies.
Uttar Pradesh had the most internship offers at first, but Andhra Pradesh took the lead later.

The goal is to give a lot of internships over several years, but there's work to be done to ensure people accept the offers.
Uttar Pradesh had the most internship offers in Round 1 of the PMIS pilot project.
Andhra Pradesh led in Round 2, surpassing Uttar Pradesh.
The PMIS pilot project aimed to provide internships to one crore youth over five years.
Only 6% of candidates who received offers ultimately joined the companies.
The pilot project involved 256-266 companies offering over 1.27 lakh internships.
