Dwarka Expressway Tunnels to IGI Airport Open for Trial Run
A new road is opening up that will make it faster to get to the airport!
Starting tomorrow, there will be a test run of tunnels that connect the Dwarka Expressway to the IGI Airport and NH-48.
These tunnels have eight lanes and are designed to help reduce traffic.
The police suggest using the new route if you're coming from Jaipur, Sohna, or the Southern Peripheral Road to get to the airport quicker.
The test run will be open for a few hours each day to see how it works.
Trial runs begin May 28 on new tunnels linking the Dwarka Expressway to IGI Airport.
The trial aims to ease congestion on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway.
The tunnel system includes a main 3.6-kilometer, eight-lane tunnel.
Another 1.5-kilometer, two-lane tunnel connects to NH-48 towards Gurugram.
Gurugram traffic police encourage airport-bound travelers to use the new route.
