ITIs: Grading Shows Improvements Across Institutes
Imagine schools that teach people job skills are like students getting report cards.
The government checked these schools called ITIs, and the report card showed they're doing better!
They're getting more students and those students are passing their tests more often.
Some schools did the best and got almost perfect scores.
The government is also spending lots of money to make these schools even better.
The way they grade the schools uses information about how many students they have and how well they're doing in their classes.
The top schools are in Uttar Pradesh.
This means more people will be able to learn important job skills.
Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across India were graded for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The grading was conducted by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Institutes showed improvement in various parameters, including admissions and passing results.
Uttar Pradesh had the highest number of top-performing ITIs.
A new data-driven grading methodology was launched in March 2023.
