North Korea Opens Seaside Resort, Limits Foreign Tourism
North Korea opened a new seaside resort called Wonsan-Kalma, also known as 'North Korea's Waikiki.'
It has hotels, waterparks, and can hold lots of people.
But, for now, only people from North Korea can visit.
The leader, Kim Jong Un, wants more tourists to come.
South Korea thinks that not many international tourists will visit because there aren't many flights.
Kim held talks with a Russian official in the area, who thought the resort would be popular with tourists.
North Korea's new Wonsan-Kalma Coastal Tourist Zone has opened to domestic visitors.
Foreign tourists are temporarily not being accepted at the seaside resort.
The resort features high-rise hotels, waterparks, and can accommodate 20,000 people.
Kim Jong Un has shown interest in developing North Korea's tourism.
