TCA Warns BCCI on HCA Council Violations
The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) sent a strong message to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about some serious rules being broken by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).
The HCA created a council for a new cricket league, but the TCA says they didn't follow the proper steps.
They didn't get approval from all members, some people in the council have conflicts of interest, and there are even legal cases going on.
The TCA is worried this could hurt the reputation of cricket in India and wants the BCCI to fix the situation by canceling the council and making sure everything is done the right way.
TCA sent a reminder to BCCI about HCA's alleged constitutional violations in forming a Governing Council for the Telangana T20 Premier League.
HCA formed the council without mandatory approval from its Annual General Meeting, violating BCCI rules.
TCA alleges conflicts of interest, unauthorized appointments, and breaches of the Code of Conduct and Ethics.
The council was announced while legal cases related to HCA are pending in the Bombay and Telangana High Courts.
TCA demands the council be scrapped, HCA's powers suspended, and disciplinary proceedings initiated.
