Net SIP Inflows Reach Record Rs 2 Trillion in FY26

Net SIP Inflows Reach Record Rs 2 Trillion in FY26

A SIP lets people invest a fixed amount in mutual funds regularly.

In FY26, investors put about Rs 3.5 trillion into SIPs.

After subtracting money taken out, the net amount invested was a record Rs 2 trillion.

People also withdrew more money than the year before, but withdrawals grew more slowly.

The stock market was unsettled, yet many investors kept their SIPs running.

Fund officials said investors are learning to see market falls as chances to buy more.

However, the number of new SIP accounts grew much less than in the previous year.

This suggests existing investors stayed committed even though fewer new accounts were added.
