Owaisi Seeks More Time for Telangana Voter Roll Revision
Telangana is checking its voter lists to make sure the right people are included.
Asaduddin Owaisi said voters need more time to check their details.
The current deadline for the final list is October 17.
He said some people may not have enough time to fix mistakes or answer official notices.
He told voters to bring their Aadhaar cards to verification centres.
People who receive notices should reply to them.
Voters marked “Absent” or “Shifted” may need to submit Form 6 to be added.
Owaisi also asked party workers to help people complete the process.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi asked for an extension of Telangana’s ongoing special intensive revision of electoral rolls.
He said the October 17 deadline for the final voter list did not give residents enough time to correct discrepancies.
Owaisi urged voters to take Aadhaar cards to verification centres and respond to notices from electoral registration officers.
He asked voters listed as “Absent” or “Shifted” to submit Form 6 immediately if they needed inclusion as new voters.
