India's LPG Plan: 24-Hour Delivery via Cross-Company Service
Imagine you order cooking gas.
If your regular company can't deliver it within a day, another company will step in.
This means you can get gas from any of the three main companies.
Right now, deliveries can take a long time, and people complain.
This new plan, like in some other countries, should make sure you get your gas quickly, no matter which company you usually use.
The government wants cooking fuel to reliably reach every home.
PNGRB proposes a 24-hour LPG delivery system.
Consumers can receive cylinders from any of the three OMCs if the primary distributor fails.
The framework aims to reduce delivery delays and increase reliability.
Currently, consumers are tied to a single OMC for supply.
PNGRB will begin with pilot programs to test the new system.
